Okay, now we’re getting somewhere.
There are things that get considerably easier—or at least more interesting—once another person gets involved. The idea you’ve been circling. The decision that has somehow acquired its own research department. The thing you’re ready to do if you could just stop thinking about it long enough to actually do it.
And sometimes what you need is considerably less productive: a good story, an interesting rabbit hole, or something in the mail that isn’t asking you to refinance your house.

A monthly letter from one curious human to another.
Once a month, I’ll mail you something I couldn't stop thinking about. A story, an observation, a recommendation, a rabbit hole—whatever has been taking up an unreasonable amount of space in my brain lately.
I'll send it in an actual letter. Envelope. Stamp. The whole operation.
(This is what happens when I have an idea and access to postage.)

For Context, Here’s What You’re Getting Into
Hi, I’m Carly—the person behind Cozy Writing Co.
Much like Liam Neeson (minus the hand-to-hand combat), I have a very particular set of skills.
I have a Ph.D. in how people learn and communicate, and I’ve spent decades teaching, writing, researching, leading teams, building businesses, solving problems, and helping people figure stuff out.
Turns out, this is remarkably useful when somebody says, “Can I run something by you?”
I’m also deeply susceptible to a good story, an interesting question, and anything that begins with “Okay, so I went down a rabbit hole...” Which explains both the hundreds of board games in my house and why “let me look that up real quick” has never once meant what it sounds like it means.
So if you’ve got something you’re working on, trying to figure out, or just thinking about way too much, I’m here for it. And if you’d rather I bring the thing, I can do that, too.

Remember when getting mail was exciting?
A letter. A postcard. A Columbia House order containing twelve CDs you were now contractually obligated to explain to your parents.
And then email showed up and somehow that was exciting, too. We had screen names. Away messages. An extremely enthusiastic man announcing that we had mail.
We used to be so good at this.
Maybe it’s time we brought a little of that energy back.
