Hey, I’m Carly—the creative mind behind Cozy Writing Co., and your unofficial sidekick in bringing structure to the spark (without killing the fun).
This business started as my creative comeback.
After my energy, focus, and sense of self absolutely left the building, I needed a way to feel like me again—playful, curious, creative AF.
So I built the thing I needed most: a cozy corner of the Internet where messy brains and wild ideas aren’t just welcome… they’re the whole point.
My (Not So Linear) Path Here 🛼✨
I’ve got a Ph.D. in how people learn and communicate (yes, really). I used to be a researcher and professor in games-based learning—aka how video games teach us problem-solving, collaboration, and creative flow.
I even wrote a book called Teach Like a Gamer—because I believe creativity isn’t just something you have... It’s something you practice, just like gameplay.
Add in a few stints in the corporate world, a life-long obsession with writing and storytelling, and an undying love for color-coded chaos—and Cozy Writing Co. was born.
At the time, it all felt very unhinged (just ask my LinkedIn profile)—but in hindsight? Oh yeah. This tracks.
