When was the last time you did something for absolutely no good reason?
A good no-good reason.
Curiosity. Fun. The sudden desire to find out whether you can learn a magic trick, build an excellent blanket fort, identify the oldest thing in your house, or determine once and for all which local bakery makes the best donut.
You know. Important research.
Not everything has to become a hobby, a goal, a project, or something you're trying to get better at. Sometimes you can just wonder about something and go find out. Try something because you've never tried it. Make something because it sounded fun. Go somewhere because you've never been there.
Go on. Get curious.
We’ll supply the 52 ideas. What you do with them is between you, your curiosity, and possibly the people who live with you.

52 cards. An alarming number of possible afternoons.
Inside the deck, you’ll find extremely good reasons to:
Go investigate something you’ve somehow never thought to question before
Make something tiny, unnecessary, nostalgic, or surprisingly excellent
Try something new without needing to become a person who Does That Now
Notice things you’ve walked past, forgotten about, or never really looked at
Learn something for absolutely no reason except now you need to know
Go somewhere you wouldn’t normally go
Revisit something you used to love and see what Current You thinks
Conduct highly scientific research involving donuts, taste tests, world records, and other matters of obvious importance
Rope somebody else into it when the assignment clearly calls for witnesses
Shuffle the deck and draw one whenever you need something to do, somewhere for your curiosity to go, or a perfectly legitimate excuse to spend the afternoon finding out what happens.

Do I have to do these in order?
Absolutely not. Shuffle the deck and let fate handle your afternoon. Or look through them and pick one. You do you.How often am I supposed to draw a card?
There are 52, so one a week gives you a full year of extremely legitimate side quests. But daily, monthly, every 17 days, or whenever you hear yourself say “I want to do something, but I don’t know what” all work beautifully. Are these all things I can do at home?
Nope. Some cards keep you happily occupied at home; others send you outside, to a store, somewhere in your neighborhood, or off on a tiny adventure. A few involve food. As all worthwhile endeavors eventually do.Do I need special supplies?
Usually not. Most cards use ordinary things you already have or can easily find. Occasionally a card might give you a reason to pick something up, go somewhere, or spend a few dollars—but several of those specifically tell you that you don't actually have to buy anything. Is this for adults?
Very much so. Specifically adults who would still like to build a fort, learn a magic trick, conduct a blind potato-chip tasting, investigate a weird object at the grocery store, or find out which Muppet they are.(With that said, there aren’t any adult themes or anything that would keep you from doing these with younger humans, if you feel like it.)
Can I do the cards with other people?
Please do. Draw one with your partner, family, or friends and make everybody do the same assignment. Any debate or unnecessary competition that follows is between you and your loved ones. What if I draw the same card again?
A bunch of the cards have built-in ways to play again with a different subject, choice, person, song, skill, or question. And plenty of the others naturally turn out differently the second time around. Can I print another copy if mine gets destroyed?
Yep. Your purchase is for personal use, and you can reprint the deck as needed. Lose one under the couch? Questionable corners? Print another. Your friend wants their own deck? Send them our way.
